Description
The HEMASHIELD GOLD Woven 3 Branch Graft is designed for aortic arch replacement.
Clinical study has hown superior results of aortic arch replacement using Hypothermic Circulatory Arrest (HCA) with Selective Cerebral Perfusion (SCP) in conjunction with a 3 branch graft, compared with HCA alone.
The procedure has been shown to reduce the amount of time and the associated complications of cardiopulmonary bypass and/or selective cerebral perfusion. It is intended to provide superior operative support by allowing precise construction of the Elephant Trunk anastomosis.
The procedure has provided better clinical outcomes in clinical studies, and is an alternative to the Island Technique.
